Before beginning:

This is a simple journey but not an easy one to explain. Like a fable, it is full of wonder and happiness. For me Journey to this place was a musical poem. Everything I saw was like a musical note which touched my soul. I hope I could show you from this article of mine what I saw from my eyes.

Happy reading!

Sometimes our experiences are really unexpected and unbelievable which leaves long lasting impression on our minds. That’s what happened to me on my journey to home.

It was nice Saturday morning; I was planning to go home after a long time. Ohhhh sorry. I forgot to introduce myself. I am Ranveer and I work in Noida as a software engineer in big software MNC. I was born in Sirsa (small town in Haryana). Although my work is fun but sometimes it gets really boring. Therefore I keep on planning trips. This time it was to my hometown.

Enough of my introduction let’s get back to our story. I had to go to my hometown to attend my childhood friend’s wedding on the very next day. I wasn’t looking for any adventure on this trip, but destiny has some other plans for me.

The human race is designed to be creative. Be it a child who scribbles “mommy” or a teen who writes poetries and paints or a scientist who puts the man on the moon – our life is full of examples when we have created. As we grow up and get tangled in our responsibilities, sometimes it feels like the creative spark is dying out.

This is especially true if you are working in a field where creativity is the key – fields like design or writing. Stop worrying, here are 7 ideas to break out of your creative block and shine again.

1. Learn to live like a child

Living like a child does not mean behaving childishly when it is not appropriate. Living like a child is living with a sense of discovery, wonder, exploration of things around us. Being open to ideas, getting amazed, appreciating small pleasures, being curious all the time. Often we lose opportunities to be creative, because we are trying to be grown-up, we are trying to explain everything away, we are being overly analytical. If we just let go of our need to have reasons for everything, we can experience creativity all over again.

I wish I could get some peace of mind,
I walk on a lonely road with thoughts all blind,
Still crowded I feel with memories all around,
Flying high in the sky and looking for the ground,
Finding the roots I have left far behind…
I wish i could get some peace of mind.

The more i grow, the more I learn,
Lost my childhood, for something to earn,
Letters in hand, but no one to send,
Have enough in my pocket but nothing to spend,
Blowing winds reminds me of the days i left behind…
I wish I could get some peace of mind.

Age    : 11
Time   : 3.30 pm on a Friday afternoon in August.
Place  : Middle school, Art & Crafts period.

I am seen painstaking trying to draw “a dog”. My fingers move on paper centimeter by centimeter while my brain tries to conjure up an image of a dag standing. Mr. K tries to help – he tells us to imagine – the dog’s head, his feet. I try my best to keep up. But my mind wanders. I see in my thoughts a cute little pony, a calf, a piglet and God knows what… Obediently my fingers take the instructions from my brain and on my paper I create a new species. (Ever wondered where is the source of imagination for all those edited animal pictures you get on forwarded emails?! Oh alright.. I am only kidding!)
